AOC Brings Pop of Color to Chicago in Lilac Dress Ahead of the DNC
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez brought a pop of color to the United Center in Chicago floor on Sunday. The U.S. congresswoman from New York is scheduled to speak on the first night of the Democratic National Convention on Monday when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Joe Biden are also expected to make remarks.
While visiting the indoor arena ahead of the convention, the politician, also known by the acronym moniker AOC, wore a lilac midi dress with soft shoulders. The look featured a draped fabric motif and pleating on one shoulder as well.
AOC’s political fashion has blossomed within the last several years. The politician, who wore one of the most searched Met Gala looks in history, has added various pastel hues to her wardrobe during her time representing New York’s 14th congressional district.
During an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” last April, Ocasio-Cortez repurposed a power suit she previously wore while speaking at a rally outside of the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Nov. 19, 2020.
She has been using her social media platforms to connect with perspective voters during the 2024 election cycle. The noted politician has also showed her support for Vice President Kamala Harris after she entered the presidential race last month.
The 2024 Democratic National Convention will take place in Chicago from Monday to Thursday. Delegates from all 50 states and U.S. territories will gather to formally nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for president and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as the candidate for vice president.
