Beauty Goes Bold at Christian Siriano Fall-Winter 2025

Inside the all-red-everywhere venue for the Christian Siriano Fall-Winter 2025 ready-to-wear show at New York Fashion Week, Coco Rocha and Winnie Harlow strutted the catwalk in frocks with aerodynamic lines and shiny fabrics that called to mind the high-gloss finish of a hot rod. The makeup and hair direction followed suit.
The Makeup
Playing off Siriano’s vision of power women revving up to take charge, lead makeup artist Vincent Oquendo designed a major look featuring an eye with sharp lines of definition. Backstage, he shared the building blocks of the makeup with GRAZIA USA. “There’re so many layers to this look and it was about fitting it to each model — everybody has such different eyes,” he explained. Four different Revlon eyeliners were used to “create a geometric shape, with brown as the catalyst color,” he revealed. Varying black and brown hues and textures starting from the waterline and cutting right into the crease added to the detail.

To make eyes pop, models’ complexions were enhanced with Revlon’s Colorstay Face & Body Glow Lotion, a dewy tint that amplifies luminosity.
The Skincare
As a prep for makeup, models were treated to an express facial by Borghese. “Christian was looking to bring skin prep to the models,” the brand’s esthetician, Gabriel Taylor, says. “But we only had five minutes per model so we maximized results by using the Advanced Fango Mud Mask.” The result: Blurred pores and even texture, which helped the makeup application go on smoothly and made complexions beam as if illuminated by headlights.

The Hair
Continuing with the race car theme, key hairstylist Lacy Redway nailed hyper-glossy locks fashioned into aerodynamic buns with curved loops reminiscent of a racetrack. TRESemmé Styling Stick from the recently launched A-List Collection was used to give locks their sleek look with effortless hold that lasted from dress rehearsal to show time.
