TikTok has a knack for turning everyday life into a viral sensation. The latest trend, “very demure,” has taken the platform by storm, with users embracing a newfound appreciation for understated elegance — both seriously and sarcastically. From mastering the art of patiently deplaning to savoring messy food with poise, it seems everyone is channeling their inner sophistication.

Now, the “very demure” movement is extending to the world of drinks. Inspired by the trend, mixologists are crafting libations that exude calm and composure. Think classic cocktails with a modern twist, designed to be enjoyed with a touch of understated glamour. For those seeking alcohol-free options, the rise of mindful drinking has brought forth a new wave of sophisticated mocktails.

One such drink is the Scottish Maid, a refreshing concoction that perfectly captures the essence of the trend. With its cucumber-infused coolness and subtle floral notes, this cocktail is the epitome of demure sophistication. For those seeking a more classic option, the Premier Cru Martini offers a timeless elegance, while the Whisky Sour provides a sophisticated twist on a beloved classic.

For those embracing a sober lifestyle or simply looking to cut back on alcohol, Martini & Rossi’s non-alcoholic aperitivos offer a delightful alternative. Their Floreale and Vibrante are perfect for creating demure mocktails that don’t compromise on flavor. The Rose Martini, made with Vibrante, is a refreshing and elegant choice, while the Floreale Spritz offers a lighter, bubbly option.

To truly master the art of demure drinking, it is important to master the art of presentation, with the power of a well-executed garnish. A lemon twist, for example, can elevate even the simplest drink. Additionally, be sure to focus on mindfulness when preparing and serving drinks. A calm and collected demeanor can enhance the overall experience.

Whether you’re hosting a dinner party, enjoying a quiet night in, or simply embracing a more mindful approach to drinking, these demure cocktails and mocktails are the perfect way to add a touch of sophistication to your life. So, raise a glass (or a mocktail glass) and savor the moment — very demurely, of course.
