I Hate Wearing Bras, but This Cooling, Wire-Free Option Won Me Over

I’m not much of a bra person on a regular day, but during the summer, I avoid the undergarment at all costs. The feeling of those poking wires, extra fabric on my already hot body, and digging straps is enough to have me ripping it off as soon as I get home. I even tried wearing my go-to pasties, but they would lose their stickiness and slide around when I sweat, so they just weren’t feasible for summertime.

I knew I would have to go back to wearing bras, but I needed a style that would keep me cool and comfortable. So I took to Amazon in pursuit of the perfect bra and eventually came across Warner’s Play It Cool Wire-Free Bra. I now refuse to wear any other bra when temperatures are above 70 degrees, and I plan on stocking up on it while it’s on sale for $28.

Warner’s wire-free bra is one of the more comfortable bras in my collection. I’ve even fallen asleep with the bra on, which never happens, and I barely felt it all night long. Aside from comfort, it offers substantial coverage without being bulky and is padded enough that it’s discreet and seamless under tight-fitting tops. Plus, it has a bit of lift that doesn’t cause me to spill over. The bottom band doesn’t roll or move around, and I get the same support as if it had an underwire but without that piercing pain. I also like that the straps are soft and wider, so they don’t dig into my shoulders, making wearing it all the more bearable.

However, the factor that keeps me reaching for this bra the most is the cooling lining, a game changer come summer. I’ve been outside for cookouts and parties where it was 85 degrees and I was cool as a cucumber and dry the entire time. The same can’t be said about my other bras, which usually have me sweaty and sticking on minute five.

I’m not the only fan of the lightweight bra, as it has more than 2,400 five-star ratings, with rave reviews from 47-year-olds that say the bra gives their boobs a “perky look.” They also said it’s “comfortable and cool,” so much so that they’ve bought multiples. Same! What’s more, 63-year-old shoppers say the Warner’s Wire-Free find is the “most comfortable bra [they’ve] ever owned,” and that’s probably thanks to that wire-free design. As mentioned, the cups have a special lining that keeps you cool while wicking away sweat, which keeps sticky itch at bay.

Clearly, this bra is for everyone, and a total must-have for summer. It normally costs $44, but right now it’s $28, which means I can basically buy two for the price of one. Score!
