Jill Biden Dons Vibrant Carolina Herrera Dress at White House
Jill Biden chose two different blue dresses for her public engagements this week.
On Monday, the first lady celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a reception at the White House in Washington, D.C., alongside her husband, President Joe Biden. She donned a Carolina Herrera shirtdress made of taffeta with a fitted bodice and a flared skirt. The dress featured a spread collar and a long-sleeve silhouette. She paired her outfit with lime green slingback pumps from Stuart Weitzman.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden accompanied his wife in his signature navy suit, which he paired with a printed tie that coordinated with her dress.
On Tuesday, the first lady continued her blue style streak to honor the upcoming National World War I Memorial at a ceremony held in the East Room of the White House. Biden wore a navy column mididress with long sleeves, a Peter Pan collar with an umpire waistline and subtle monochrome buttons on the bodice. She completed her look with floral pumps.
Jill Biden has a penchant for shades of blue. She notably wore an ocean blue Markarian dress at her husband’s Inauguration Day ceremony in 2021 and a blue Ralph Lauren suit to the Coronation of King Charles III in London in 2023.
Most recently, the first lady was seen in a sapphire ombré Art Nouveau crystal embroidered gown from Oscar de la Renta at the White House state dinner for Japan on April 10. For the White House 2024 Easter Egg Roll on April 1, she chose a shock pink coat and a matching dress.
