Lovechild 1979 Spring Summer 2025 Working Perspective

With the exploration of tactile and expressive minimalism, drawing inspiration from
the sculptures and abstract works of Eva Hesse, the Lovechild 1979 Spring Summer 2025 set root. Infusing the precision of 1960s minimalism with a sense of creativity and experimentation, the collection seeks to embody the dualities and contrasts that
define today’s contemporary workwear.

Renowned for her use of simple, industrial materials and her exploration of organic associations, Hesse’s art transforms everyday objects into expressive pieces. Embracing this experimentation with everyday, we integrated the essence of work uniforms, merging the raw with the refined, and the occasional with the everyday. Having the tactile nature of Hesse’s materials reflect our fabric choices, from light blue cotton poplin and linen blend to sheer tencel and soft lamb leather, creating a seamless transition from work to evening attire. The seasonal color palette painting a light, tonal and calm landscape with hues of wheat, vanilla, shades of green and a pale watercolor dip-dye print.

The collection’s aesthetic essence lies in the interplay of textures. Featuring tonal layering, knots and ropes inspired by Hesse’s work, inviting a tactile connection and a sense of discovery with each piece. Inspired by her box works and preoccupation with grids, we incorporate structured elements, enhancing the sculptural form of the collection. Key fabrics such as compact viscose and cotton silk evoke the transparency and fluidity of Hesse’s watercolors, while the use of innovative textile such as Naia acetate, produced from pine and eucalyptus wood underscores our commitment to further sustainable practices.

The collection reflects blurred lines between work and private life. Presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2024 against the architectural and minimalistic backdrop of Amaliehaven. This garden, with its clean and sharp shapes, stonework, sculptural greenery, and fountains, provides a meticulous frame for the collection. It captures the essence of businesswomen transitioning seamlessly from their professional environment to evening occasions, embodying the fluidity and sophistication of modern workwear.

Just as Hesse journeys from material, this is where our inspiration begins, and our garments take form. The blurred boundaries and minimalism of the Spring Summer 2025 collection aim to meet the demands of contemporary work-life balance. Giving into the balance of sophistication and practicality, capturing the essence of modern simplicity.
