Queen Letizia Styles Mango Three-Piece Gray Suit in Madrid

Queen Letizia of Spain returned to her power suiting ways on Thursday for a royal engagement in Madrid, styling a suit that’s become a staple of her royal wardrobe. The Spanish royal family member attended a board meeting for the FAD Youth Foundation (Foundation Against Drug Addiction) organization.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia suited up in a pepper gray, wool three-piece suit courtesy of Mango. The royal wore the flecked wool-blend, single-breasted blazer, which featured a soft collar along with rounded shoulders and sleeves with button detailing on the cuffs.

Queen Letizia’s coordinated look continued with the marbled wool trousers, which featured subtle pleating and a wide-leg silhouette. The look was made complete thanks to the marbled wool waistcoat Queen Letizia wore beneath her single-breasted blazer.

As for her accessories, Queen Letizia went minimalist, gravitating toward a quiet luxury sensibility. She did, however, wear a pair of small chandelier statement earrings.

As for her glam, Queen Letizia’s hair was styled in her signature side part and worn naturally. Her makeup included bold brows, a hint of a smokey eye and a glossy lip — ideal for the daytime occasion and business-oriented outing.

Queen Letizia joins several royal women who not only favor power suiting attire for daytime engagements, but also opt to rewear staple pieces from their wardrobe. The Spanish royal has long been an admirer of Mango’s designs, wearing the label’s dresses and suits before. She previously wore this very three-piece look for an event in November 2024 for the Madrid Press Association Journalism Awards.

Power suiting is an element of Queen Letizia’s wardrobe — and she’s not the only royal who favors the trend. Kate Middleton has long styled power suits, wearing looks courtesy of Burberry, Roland Mouret and more.
