See Taylor Swift React to Fan Engagement on Eras Tour

It was a real-life love story on the latest stop of the Eras tour, and Taylor Swift was living for it. While the “But Daddy, I Love Him” musician performed in Edinburgh, Scotland on Friday, two Swifties decided to get engaged right as she sang “Cardigan” – and Swift couldn’t contain her excitement that she got to see the whole romantic moment go down. After finishing up the Folklore ballad, the singer had the sweetest reaction after she stopped her Eras tour mid-show to confirm the proposal had happened.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight, because I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody getting engaged over here,” the “Down Bad” singer, who’s currently dating Travis Kelce, told the crowd, referring to the show’s outdoor venue at Murrayfield Stadium.

Swift, who appeared to smile as she saw the moment happening during her “Cardigan performance, per a video shared to Threads, excitedly addressed the couple in question, asking “Did it happen?”

The “Lover” singer confirmed she was the ultimate romantic, punching the air with her fists upon confirmation and yelling, “Yes!” before telling the cheering crowd how much seeing the engagement meant to her.

“You have no idea, I never get to see that, right? Because it’s, like, dark usually at night,” she explained to the crowd. “But it’s not right now so congratulations. Wow, I just saw that whole thing. Uh, man, that’s amazing. Thanks for doing that at my concert, that’s a big moment. Huge.”

It wasn’t the only time Swift stopped her concert that night for fans, although the other time was less celebratory.

Taking a pause from singing her mash-up of “I Know Places” and “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve,” the Grammy award winner pointed out some of the audience members who needed help, per a video of the moment shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, Swift stopped the show during the first song of her acoustic set, saying, “We need help right in front of me, please, right in front of me.” The singer kept playing her guitar and pointing out the fans as security struggled to get to them, saying, “Just let me know when, I could do this all night.” Once she got verbal confirmation they were “good,” she launched back into her setlist.
