Suki Waterhouse Announced Her Baby’s Gender At Coachella
Suki Waterhouse has clarified that when you come to a Suki Waterhouse show, leave your expectations at the door. That theory was proven correct over the weekend in Indio, California after the model-turned-musician-slash-actress used the Coachella Valley stage as a pseudo gender reveal.
Waterhouse welcomed her first child with her boyfriend (and rumoured fiancé) Robert Pattinson earlier this year, though details surrounding the newborn’s name and gender were kept as hushed as particulars about their relationship. But to a small, intimate crowd of about 650,000—which included Hailey and Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and Paris Hilton—the songstress parted ways with the exclusive intel.
Waterhouse announced that she and Pattinson had welcomed a baby girl into the world in a sweet exchange with the audience. “I don’t know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down,” Waterhouse began during her day one set.
“I love amazing ladies and I’ve been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life,” she continued, though it’s not clear if the love she’s referencing is her daughter or her Twilight alum partner. (Fans of the teen vampire franchise would be delighted to know their hopes for a real-life ‘Renesmee’ have come true with the arrival of Waterhouse and Pattinson’s baby.)

Coachella was the Daisy Jones & The Six star’s first public appearance since giving birth in March. The first-time mum delivered a refreshingly real update on the realities of post-partum life just days before unleashing her rockstar persona on stage.
The fur coat, sheer top and Charles & Keith boots she wore for her performance was a world away from the stretchy C-section underwear and nursing bralette the 32-year-old wore in her candid fourth-trimester Instagram post. But leave it to Waterhouse to prove that women, especially working mothers, can do it all and look good trying.
The festival dispatch follows the theme of mid-show updates the star has followed throughout her entire pregnancy. As you’ll recall, Waterhouse announced the news in a sequin mini-dress while playing the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico.
With a new album, Fader, up her sleeve, Waterhouse soon could be on the road to promote the record, leaving a trail of surprising on-stage revelations in her wake. Could she be any more Rock’n’Roll?
